Unicorn Overlord Bastorias Carvings: Order and Locations

The correct order for the Bastorias set is Rat, then Eagle, then Wolf, then Bear, and finishing it pays a Kingsbow Bastorik, five Honors and 1000g. Two independent captures agree on both points: a player post on the Unicorn Overlord subreddit listing each carving with a rough location, and the IGN wiki walkthrough, which also records the in-game hint to examine the stones from the smallest animal to the largest. No capture in this batch reports a different sequence, and the hint fits the list, since a rat is the smallest of the four and a bear the largest.

The quest starts at a ruin you investigate after A Fleeting Dream, the region's closing main quest. According to the IGN walkthrough the ruin sits near a Divine Effigy, across from where Elgor's Command Post stood, and you need Yahna in the army; she joins through the main quest The Ravaged Swamp and reads the journal for you. The journal states the order, and the player thread adds that the quest log also shows which carving to activate next, which is how you check yourself partway through. Both captures describe the four carvings at landmark level only. There are no coordinates, no map squares and no level recommendations anywhere in the material captured for this quest, and this page does not supply any.

   Search the ruin near the Divine Effigy, across from the old Elgor's Command Post, and read the journal inside for the order and the carving types.

   Take the boat at Zagavona Harbor, which the walkthrough ties to finishing The Battle for Zagavona. The player post describes the destination as an isolated shore reached by ship.

   Eagle carving

   Search east of the Black Market Trader, in the southern part of the region once A Fleeting Dream is done.

   Wolf carving

   Head to Lornivisch Harbor; the carving sits close to town, and the player post notes that this one needs no ship.

   Take the boat from The Ancient City of Bastoritza to the isolated area and search there. The two captures describe the exact offset from the boat differently, so no direction is given here.

   Collect the treasure

   Interacting with the fourth carving reveals the hidden treasure and closes the quest, paying Kingsbow Bastorik, Honors x5 and 1000g.

Each carving you touch in sequence advances the same quest, so the check is simple: the log keeps pointing at the next animal rather than repeating the last one, and the fourth interaction reveals the hidden treasure.

• The sequence you followed reads Rat, Eagle, Wolf, Bear, matching the order the journal gives.
• On the fourth carving the treasure is revealed and the payout is Kingsbow Bastorik, five Honors and 1000g, which is what both captures record.
• The walkthrough describes the Kingsbow Bastorik as a bow that raises all stats by 5, the only stat detail any capture gives for it.

These are the failures the captured sources actually address, rather than general advice about exploring.

• Lost the sequence: open the quest log. A commenter in the player thread notes that it lists the order to activate the carvings in.
• Cannot find one of the four: the Rat and Bear carvings sit behind a boat ride, while the Wolf carving is reachable on foot near Lornivisch Harbor. That split is the detail the player thread flags.
• Quest will not start: check that A Fleeting Dream is finished and that Yahna is in the army. This wording comes from the walkthrough and no second capture restates it.

The exact spelling of the place names is unresolved, so this page uses Zagavona Harbor, The Ancient City of Bastoritza and Black Market Trader without claiming those forms were checked against the game's own text. The Bear carving's offset from the boat is the one location detail the captures disagree on, so it is left out rather than resolved. Several other questions have no captured answer at all: whether the quest can be missed permanently, whether the journal is required or the quest log alone suffices, and what happens if you touch a Bastorias carving out of turn.
