Unicorn Overlord Elheim Team: What Sources Confirm
This is the least complete page in the formation group, deliberately. No captured source answers what an Elheim-stage army should look like with a current-version roster, and the sources that come closest are either a player who had already finished the region or a thread from the launch window. What follows is what the capture does support: squads players say they took through Elheim, where elven characters are placed, and what to check before leaving.
The capture gives three useful things rather than a roster. Squads: a four-slot unit of Virginia, Chloe, Berenice and Leah that one player took through Drakenhold and Elheim, and six four-slot squads another player listed after clearing Elheim's final story battle. Placement: elven units show up in magic and support slots, and players note elves have no tank class, so something else has to stand in front. Preparation: before leaving, keep an evasion-based soak, a high-accuracy archer that can remove enemy buffers, and movement control from the elf sisters and Yahna.

The honest answer for this stage
Searches for an Elheim team usually expect a fresh roster for the third region. The capture does not contain one. The most detailed source is a post-Elheim help thread whose longest reply comes from a player at level 40 describing combinations that carried them through most of the game. That is useful as an illustration of what a settled squad looks like, but it is not a description of what you should field when you arrive.
The rest of the material is fragments: a launch-window thread of themed squads, a player in a large class-combination thread who lists six squads at the point they cleared Elheim's last story battle, and passing remarks about the region being magic-oriented, about enemies that clear your buffs, and about what a nearby harbour gives you.
Squads players reported around Elheim
These are individual layouts. None is a recommendation, and the capture does not say when each named character joins.
- Six four-slot squads listed by a player after clearing Elheim's final story battle on Expert: a unit built around the two elf sisters in the back row with a tanking character in front; a cavalry unit with three knight-type characters in the front row and a healer behind; a winged-rider unit with two fliers in front and two characters covering them behind; an archer unit with an arbalist in front and hunters, an elf archer and a shaman behind; plus two more themed squads.
- A four-slot squad one player says carried them through Drakenhold and Elheim: Virginia, Chloe, Berenice and Leah. The same player later described their item logic, buffing the characters whose attacks count as true strikes and putting pendants on the rest while the squad was still unpromoted.
- A player who was in the region when they posted lists three squads, one of which is Yahna, Nina, Auch and Hodrick, which that player says wipes out enemies with poor magic resistance.
- A level 40 player's favourite combinations in the post-Elheim thread, offered as illustrations: two great knights with a sainted knight between them; Virginia with a landsknecht and a shieldsniper; Berengaria with a doom knight and a druid; and a five-knight line. That player said the combinations carried them through most of the game.
Where elven units go
In every captured example that includes them, elven characters sit in the back row as magic damage or support: two elf sisters in a back row behind a tanking character, an elf archer behind a front-line arbalist, and an elven fencer named inside a three-character combination in the post-Elheim list. A player's remark in the launch-window thread captures the constraint well: it is a shame elves have no tank class, so an elf-themed squad still needs something else in front.
One detour note says that freeing a harbour in the elf kingdom yields an elven archer. That is a single source, so treat it as a lead rather than a route.
The region itself is described in a Drakenhold thread as magic-oriented, with mage knight-type units doing better here than they did earlier. A separate remark in the class-combination thread notes that some enemies clear buffs and names elves as an example, so squads that lean on buffs should keep that in mind.
Before you leave Elheim: a checklist
One reply in the post-Elheim thread gives the most concrete exit advice, aimed at the region that follows.
Keep one or two high-evasion soak units
The reply's reasoning is the next region's habit of stripping the buffs you were relying on, so a squad that survives by evasion keeps working when the buffs do not.
Bring a high-accuracy archer unit that can remove enemy buffers
Same reply: the point is to delete the source of the problem instead of out-healing it.
Field both elf sisters and Yahna, on separate squads where possible
That reply credits their Valor Skill movement manipulation, described as the tool for repositioning around the map.
Run a squad and item audit before leaving
The thread's opening post says the author had heard the stretch after Elheim is a large skill, team and item check. It is a player's expectation rather than an official difficulty note.
Two arguments worth knowing about
Two sources disagree about whether a paladin-type front character stays viable here. In the launch-window thread, a reply argues that the character becomes a support unit for the rest of the game with poor stats until a much later level, and should stand in the back. In the class-combination thread, a player who had just cleared Elheim's final battle lists that same character in the front row of the elf-sister squad, tanking. Both are player statements from different progress points, and the capture contains no current-version check, so the honest reading is that it depends on your squad and your level.
A second disagreement, about the targeting of one buff skill, appears twice in the launch-window thread with opposite conclusions. Neither claim could be verified, so this page does not describe that skill's behaviour at all.
Version scope and open questions
Dates in the capture are uneven. The launch-window thread carries a March 2024 date from the search result, which places it before the 2024-04-25 patch, so its squads are early-version practice. Other sources resolve only to relative ages: about two years, about one year, one post dated 2025-07-05, and a thread five months old at capture. The latest patch that can be confirmed here is v1.05, in place from 2024-05-27, with PS4 and PS5 served first and Nintendo Switch and Xbox Series X|S awaiting platform review.
Two structural gaps remain. Four-member and five-member examples both appear in the capture, and no source says when the five-member step unlocks. There is also no captured list of which characters are available in Elheim: the harbour note is a single source, and the squads come from players at different progress points, several of them past the region entirely.
A user-provided video transcript captured for this site adds one more community-level strand. It is treated here as a community report, with the caption source unverified and the video's date and version unknown. Its structural points are that late-game units are built around attacks that hit an entire enemy squad, that enemy casters can shut down your main attacker with a quick-cast control spell, and that archer slots need protection from blinding. Because the content is late-game, it is not an Elheim-stage answer and no class or item names from it are repeated here.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is there a recommended Elheim roster?
No captured source provides one. The squads above are individual layouts, two of them reported by players who had already finished the region.
Do elves get a tank class?
Players in the captured threads note that elves have no tank class, which is why elf-heavy squads still use something else in the front row.
What should I do before leaving Elheim?
The concrete advice is an evasion soak, a high-accuracy archer to remove enemy buffers, movement control from the elf sisters and Yahna, and a squad and item audit.
